Search function is broken #29

I did not see this issue here, and it is quite serious.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install lifepress
2. Try using the search function

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Please provide any additional information below.
Sweetcron works perfectly, but I noticed the error happened even in it after I 
upgraded CodeIgniter, so there is something in the new versions that break the 
search function.
