Keys mapped on physical keyboard

I have a Motorola milestone (aka droid in US) that has a physical querty 
keyboard. Keyboard is very useful for fast seeking by first letter, but don't 
understand well the mapping:

Directional pad: ok!
Enter: don't work as "select"...maybe "video" key
back: don't find

other keys find: r (rewind) f (forward)

This is my number 1 feature request from this project.  Considering a poorly 
made boxee remote can handle keyboard input to xbmc (even during the input 
dialog) just fine, I am rather surprised this hasn't been implemented yet.

Just wanted to shamelessly bump this issue..  This is a feature this app 
ABSOLUTELY NEEDS and I would even be willing to donate money to get the feature 
implemented.

I think can be very useful features for all phone with a physical 
keyboard...one of the many difference with iPhone ;)
