Youtube "share to XBMC remote" and then to TV fails with black screen on phone and no output on TV #734

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.find youtube video on phone using the android youtube app
2.use "share" option to send the video to XMBC server
3.phone screen goes black and no message appears on XBMC

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Youtube video now playing on TV, instead get black screen on phone an nothing 
from TV

What version of XBMC Remote are you using?
Version 1.0.9 Build Revision 1009

Which Android device are you using (and which ROM, if custom)?
Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 - stock Samsung Rom
&
Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 - Omega Rom

Which XBMC revision are you running and on which platform?
12.3 on Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.
this had been working find until an XBMC remote update? Sorry :)

What version of XBMC Remote are you using?
v1.0.9 Build Revision 1009

Which Android device are you using (and which ROM, if custom)?
Nexus 5, Stock Android 4.4.2

Which XBMC revision are you running and on which platform?
12.2 Git, openSUSE Linux 12.2

Nexus 4, Android 4.4.2 (CM11-M6)

Which XBMC revision are you running and on which platform?
Gotham on Ubuntu 14.04

Same experience as above (1.0.9 build 1009) on Nexus 4 @4.4.4 and older 
versions previously.

Please escalate to High priority: should be easy to fix (see 
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=189127).

Also seems related to issue #674 and #684 and possibly #569.
