Multi-word last names are not handled properly

Multi-word last names are not handled properly.  Using the add person form
to enter Sofie M. Van Parijs, will return the following pen names:

van, Parijs S. M.
van, Parijs Sofie M.
van, Parijs S.
van, Parijs Sofie

Articles added that contain this name as an author are also mishandled.

James Smith Jr.
Jennifer Jones, PhD.

Note that we should have
Bessel A. van der Koch => van der Koch, B. A.
but probably
Karel z Zerotína => Zerotína, K. z
and
Hamid al-Jundi => Jundi, Hamid al- (since alphabetized as "J" in APA style) per
