Feature Request: Ability to tcp connect to host:port #17

In addition to Serial port and RSMB, can you add the ability to connect to
a tcp host:port.  This would help if the serial port is on a serial port
server, like ser2net.  There's no protocol, you just connect and the data
comes.

Interesting idea - thanks. 

I guess you could treat it as a stream, and look for the XML start and end tags 
to 
identify a complete reading. Do you have an example of what that code would 
look like?

yep, it's the the same as a serial port.  The xml comes in one a single line 
(like
the serial port) so you can just use makefile and readline to retrieve it.
