Its in plan, only thing is Google code-hosting doesn't allow update site hosting

I'd like this as well.
The advantage of a remote update site - beside it being the familiar way to
install
plugins - is that it allows automatic updates. Also, it allows one to simply
export
the list of update sites and easily install the same plugins on another system.
Maybe a project could be created elsewhere, such as codehaus for instance? I
imagine
this project - like many FLOSS projects - suffers from a lack of time, so if you
want, I can have a look at which FLOSS hosting sites would make this possible
and try
to set this up. Unless of course you're already working on something like this.

I found this url
http://code.google.com/p/guice-plugin/wiki/EclipseInstallationGuide.
In this we see that Guice-plugin allow Eclipse Update site.

The way they have done is to checkin the binaries into the SVN and give the
http link
to the SVN files. I'm not sure whether its allowed/permitted by Google. Because
SVN
is meant for versioning the source files - not the installable binaries. I
don't want
to get into troubles. So not using this way

The workaround is to publish the zipped update site as a binary download.
The users may unzip it and use as a local update site.
