What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have at least two different chat accounts
2. Set startup status for all accounts the same, e.g. „Online“
3. Activate „Pop up dialog asking for status message“ in „Status on
Startup“ tab
4. In „Status messsages“ tab, set „Use last message set for this
status” for all accounts (don’t know if this is necassary, but it helps
comparing the bug)
5. (Re)Start Miranda
6. when dialog asks for startup message, you have normally five seconds. Click
in the text field and change the message to something other, maybe „testXX“.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The dialog box on startup asks for an initial status message. Because all
protocols should be set to online, the proposed status is set on „Online“.
Now when I enter a new text for the message, it should use this instead. But
after going online, the status is still set on „last message for this
status“ (whatever this is) and _not_ my manually entered message.
This bug occurs then, when you have more than one chat protocol in use AND if
all protocols are set to the same startup status (which would be mostly the
case, setting all to online).
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I’m using version 1.9.0.1 of Simple Status Message, and Miranda 0.9.4.
Please provide any additional information below.
I have been testing more than an hour the reproduce the bug properly. All in
all I think the message given in the popup dialog on startup will be ignored.
When I later use the same dialog for setting a message, it works. It just
doesn’t work on startup.
