Is it possible to use Unix style line delimiters?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. checkout trunk (or 2.0 branch) on a linux system
2. cat -v models.py | more

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would not see any nonprinting characters, but I can see ^M as line delimiters

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.0 branch (svn revision 191)

Please provide any additional information below.
tools like pyflakes or python-coverage have problems with this line delimiters

Switched to a new text editor on my Win box and missed that default. I'll get 
this sorted. Thanks.
