How to add a new locale translation?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. add information of photologue/locale/pl.po in django/conf/locale/pt_BR and
2. translate words and run django-admin compilemessange for compile
messages to .mo file
3. restart django develop server but word translated not modify

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
new translation of photologue to pt-br

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
 Django 1.0.2 and Photologue 2.0

Please provide any additional information below.
 I like create a new translation for photologue of portuguese-Brazil but a
no understand how to make this. help me please. ^^
