Random CTD #16

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Playing as Sham
2. Build communal farms, watchpost at each settlement.
3. Build Qafila @ Al-Quds

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Game just crashed. Gave me the 'don't know what went wrong, sorry pal'

What version of the mod are you using? What version of M2TW are you using?
Latest.

I cannot confirm the issue. Is it happening consistently? There is another
report of random crashing during the campaign though and this might be an
instance of it.

That is in line with other reports actually. I would like you to confirm that
it is the PSF Script related. Do this please:

1) Browse to
/M2TW/mods/Dominion_of_the_Sword/data/worls/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign/
directory.
2) Rename campaign_script.txt to campaign_script_.txt
3) Run the game and advance turns as normal.
4) Report back here if and when it crashed (if at all).

(after the procedure rename the campaign_script_.txt back to it's original name)

Thanks!

Ok, this fixed it. I didn't crash.
However when I started a siege against one of Misr's stone forts it crashed,
but I'm guessing that is to be expected since I rename the campaign_script.txt?

Also as a side note, renaming the file stabilized my earnings. I started
earning 11-14k instead of the 100k like before.

Thanks, it points toward the CS being somewhat problematic. I'll look into it.

This is one of the many random CTD issues many testers were having that was
most likely connected to the old PSF script. It should be fixed in Revision 6
hopefully with the new version of the script. Please do the procedure according
to Task 1c (update to Revision 6) at our z3 forums and report if the random CTD
was solved. Thanks!

NOTE: You might need to revert your mod folder if you manipulated the
campaign_script.txt (follow the Note mark in Task 1c which tells you how to
revert the mod folder).
