The game will load but will keep poping up the menu in ubuntu 11

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. starting a new game on very easy

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the menu does not keep popping up

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.30 for sing and ubuntu 11

Please provide any additional information below.
the syntax for some of the files are wrong for python 3+,
i started and will continue to change things i find that are incorrect
im going to double check that i have pygames. when i try to load it in idle the 
singularity game keeps giving me need module pygames.

ill try some stuff when i have time and if i solve it ill pass on the fix to 
you :)
