player.py seems to be looking for these two Evennia specific attributes in
django.conf, which of course new users won't have because they download stock
django. (Line 20)

Perhaps setup work could be reduced by putting default settings for these
variables in Evennia code somewhere?

django.conf.settings is a handler that will scan the path to import your
game.settings.py file content (which in turn imports the default evennia
settings in src.settings_default). This is normal Django configuration use and
not a bug.
