What is the story URL?

What is the output format you used?

Mobi 

If calibre plugin, did you use Add New, Update EPUB if New Chapters, Update

Yes
EPUB Always, Overwrite if Newer, Overwrite Always or Update Calibre
Metadata Only?

If calibre plugin, what language do use calibre in?
English

Known possibilities.   Operating system  XP, Calibre version 1.48, used this 
morning successfully downloaded completed stories from FFN.   Updated plugin, 
got then tried to download and update WIP and got this error on every URL.    
Would like to roll plugin back to older version which worked fine for me, but 
don't see any options to do so within Calibre.  Please advise

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?  Explained in Subject 
line and and abover paragraph

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.9.0  plugin   Calibre 1.48 and Windows XP

I cannot replicate that problem.

There was a problem with 'Get Story URLs from Web Page' and ffnet, but it's 
been fixed in the most recent test versions (See 
http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=163261&page=231 or 
later--generally only the most recent test version is still posted.)

Try installing the test version (and restarting calibre).  If you still see the 
problem, run calibre in debug mode (ctrl-shft-R) and post the debug log.
