Hi Lupin.wp,
Thanks for reporting the issue. I'm not sure if this is a Mac OS 10.4 specific
issue, and I don't have access to a
10.4 machine at the moment. If you could send me a screenshot (at
firefox.mac.pdf@gmail.com), I would
greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Sam

As another data point, this happened to me too. Subsequent viewings within the
same
browser session start at the previously used level but the very first document I
loaded was maximally zoomed. I am in fact also using it under 10.4.
Plugin version 0.9.5
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061004
Firefox/3.0
I'd take a screen shot, but it's pretty much just a white page, since you are
in the
upper left hand corner of the PDF that is at maximum magnification.

Same here. 10.4.11 (Intel) with Firefox 3.0 installed. I've attached a
screenshot
below.
I have been able to get the auto-size to work, but only after clicking 'zoom
out'
first. This happens even if the auto-size option is checked already. Hope
that helps!
Great add-on, especially since the Schubert|it PDF Browser Plugin seems to be a
thing
of the past...

Great application. I have the zoom-problem too, but it's easy to fix. Just use
apple-0, and it fits. Should work for the next session on the same site, too,
but has
to be fixed again if you visit a new site.

I'm using 10.4 on a PPC and had the same issue.

Same problem here, using 10.4.11 on an Intel MacBook, Firefox 3
Would be great if I didn't need to use Apple+0.

Same problem here, the first PDF I loaded was zoomed in to the max.
Version 0.9.7
Mac OS X 10.4.11
Firefox 3
Solution was to right-mouseclick and select 'Actual Size'.
I haven't got the problem with other PDF's at this moment. (but only tried 5
different pdf's in 10 minutes)

Same problem here, first PDF in the session opens at full zoom, right click and
resize to single or double page fixes it. Haven't tested with successive PDFs
in the
same session yet, only just started using it.
Specs:
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061004
Firefox/3.0. Quartz version 0.9.7.

I have the same zoom problem on my PowerBook G4 running Mac OS X 10.4.11 PPC and
Firefox 3.0, but on a G5 with Mac OS X 10.5.3 and Firefox 3.0 (with the same
extensions as the PowerBook installed) the PDF loads with the correct zoom
level, so
I think it's definitely a 10.4 problem
Please fix it because this extension is very useful.
Plugin version: 0.9.8
Thanks, Fabrizio

One more who has the same problem: 10.4.11. PDFs are zoomed large. Would love
to
see a fix!

I'm running OS X 10.4.10, and I also have this problem: every PDF is zoomed in
to the
max. That's a bug.

For those suffering with this problem who want a temporary solution I think this
works: right click and turn off autosize then zoom to your preferred level, this
preference should be remembered between sessions.
Colesbury: I looked out my copy of 10.4 to track this down. The problem occurs
only
when autoscale is on (and only single page continuous for me I think, but I'm
not
sure). If you resize the window it immediately draws with the correct scale but
without before resizing it draws at 20x zoom. I haven't figured out why or a
fix yet.

I get this too with FF 3.0.1 and OS X 10.4.11 (Intel).
Like chriswegg, I turned off continuous display and it seems to have solved the
problem for now.

@samjlord
After adjusting the zoom, what happens when you refresh?
What are the values of these preferences? You can find them by navigating to
about:config
extensions.firefox-pdf-mac.autoScales
extensions.firefox-pdf-mac.displayMode
extensions.firefox-pdf-mac.scaleFactor
Thanks

Adjusting the zoom works at first, but when I restart Firefox, the problem
returns.
extensions.firefox-pdf-mac.autoScales = false
extensions.firefox-pdf-mac.displayMode = 1
extensions.firefox-pdf-mac.scaleFactor = 20.00000
I changed them back to the defaults (true, 1, 1.0). That works for the first
PDF. For
the next PDF, the scalefactor goes back to 20.00000.

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out the weirdness on
10.4.

Having same issue on 10.4.11. The first pdf I opened displayed correctly, but
after
that, they were all zoomed in to the upper left corner. I've now taken
chriswegg's
suggestion (turn off auto, rescale using apple-0), and now things seem to be
working
well.

OS 10.6.2 has the same problem - zoom such that the entire PDF is visible.
Manually
changing the autoscale and display mode break it. Any progress?

Using plugin version 1.1.3 on Tiger I have the problem that it always starts
with
some weird zoom factor. Right-click and autoscale makes it fit onto the page.
I tried to always activate this setting through about:config, but the variable
extensions.firefox-pdf-mac.autoScales is always reset to its default. I cannot
make
this change permanent.
