I have the same problem. The plugin was working fine, but now PDFs won't
display.
URL says it's a pdf; status says Done; and right-click on the empty page shows
PDF
options (zoom, single page, etc...)

I have the same problem, but only periodically. So I don't know whether it's
the
plug-in or whether it's the link -- no information, just a blank page as dzturbd
says. If the link itself if the issue, then there should be an "error page".
I would provide a link, but the link that produced a blank page yesterday is now
displaying properly. Weird.

This has been happening on a regular basis for me as well. I'm using FF 3.04,
Mac OS
X 10.5.5 and Quartz Plugin 0.9.9.5.
I get a grey blank page and the PDF does not display in the FF window. One way
around
this is to go to File/Save Page As and then saving it to the desktop and
opening in
Preview, but then this isn't why I have the plugin. I hope that this bug can be
squashed.

Happens for me too. Works for a while (across several sessions), then just stops
working. Always fixable by disabling and then re-enabling the plugin. Weird.

Me, too.
Mac OS X 10.5.6 (i386)
Firefox 3.2a1pre
plugin 1.0.1
Unlike some, right clicking shows normal firefox links, not PDF options.

Same issue for me, Firefox 3.0.6 , MacOs 10.5.6 .
Plugin works for a while then starts displaying gray pages.
Restarting Firefox brings it back to normal.
I suggest raising the priority of this issue to "high", makes this great plugin
unusable, thanks

blank gray pages for me too--FF 3.0.6, Mac OSX 10.5.6/Intel.
Restart of FF does not bring it back to normal. I agree with previous
commenter--this is a high priority issue due to it completely breaking the
plugin's
funcitonality.

I'm having trouble reproducing this issue.
If you're experiencing blank gray pages:
1) Do you have Download Statusbar installed? I've heard reports that there is a
conflict with the Download
Statusbar add-on, but I've been unable to reproduce it.
2) Does disabling your other add-ons have any effect?
If you can narrow the cause to a conflict with another add-on, it would be a
big help.

I have the same problem but re-installing this program every day for whatever
reason
rids me of this problem until tomorrow. Go figure?!!??!
I also do not have any other add ons but do have what seems to be a built in
down
load status report for Firefox but that opens a different window.

I think part of the problem is that the plugin behavior is site-dependent, that
is,
for awhile it didn't work at all. When I disabled download statusbar, some
sites
came back. When I disabled some more plugins, like google gears and email
this, more
sites came back, but not all. Sorry this isn't a little more systematic, but it
appears to have something to do with how different sites code the PDF, combined
with
some recent update of FF, because they ALL used to work fine. If I have time,
I'll
try to be more systematic about disabling particular plugins and checking
particular
websites...

Hi ama3426,
If you could give a short list of sites and which add-ons must be disabled for
them to work, it would be a huge
help.
Thanks,
Sam

Unfortunately, uninstalling Download Statusbar didn't resolve the issue for me.
Disabling all my other
extensions also did not have any effect.

I'm also getting blank pages, but only with PDFs that are larger than half the
disk
cache size, so with a disk cache limit of 5 MB I could only display PDFs <= 2.5
MB.
While waiting for the PDF I can see a growing file in the cache directory until
its
size reaches about half the disk cache size, then it gets deleted.
Console.log contains entries along the lines:
NPP_Initialize called
NPP_New(instance=0x678a248,mode=2,argc=5)
missing or invalid cross-reference stream.

I can reproduce behaviour of principiadriver (Comment 17) - not quite so
precise, but
with a small cache size, the problem starts reliably earlier (and PDF
significantly
larger than cache size do not show at all).
But: It doesn't only concern "big" PDF, I can reproduce bug also with a series
of
small PDF, which, cumulatively, are bigger than Cache (or half of Cache, I am
not sure).
I think the developer has now a chance to solve this problem: cache management
(is it
understood as a security breach if PDF plugin uses its own cache space
somewhere else?).
