FirePHP does not work after crash #172

What versions and operating system are you using?

OS: VISTA 64bit ger
Firefox: 5.0
Firebug: 1.8.0b7
FirePHP Server Library: 0.3.2
FirePHP Extension: 0.5.0

What is the problem?
firePHP output not shown in the firebug console.
firePHP dont handle the html header.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. ?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
if i just only do a test output like "fb('foo');" nothing appear

Please provide any additional information below.
after i had an bluescreen und restart, firePHP doesnt work anymore.
it seems that any thing in the browser is not working correctly, because if i
check from php with "detectClientExtension()", it returns FALSE!
if i force in the function "detectClientExtension()" an TRUE, the html headers
become the "X-Wf" extension´s, but the firebug console is anymore empty.
thats why i mean, that the browser component had an issue, before the crash my
php code works without the problem and i didnt change it.
in the past, it happend again under FF 3.5, at that time i reinstall the
browser, but this time i wish not realy do this again, so i hope you can help
me the resolve the problem without an reinst.

thanks
Kay Linzmeier

I'll keep the issue for reference for others.

I am in the middle of updating all the FirePHP links and info and will have an
update to the FirePHP extension that will show a notice if it detects Firebug
1.8.

Are things working properly with http://developercompanion.com/ ?

Could you elaborate on "i miss the Varable Viewer"?

What about it more specifically? You can expand variables in the console by
clicking on them. Is there not enough space? If I was to add an icon to view
the variable in a viewer pop-up in the right margin of every message would that
satisfy your preference?

Do you find expanding variables in the console instead of a viewer beneficial
at all?

Hi,

sorry i have had stress.

i mean that the variable viewer in the firephp as popup, have more comfort, the
handle is easier.
i dont use the firebug console as external window, although my monitor is an
24", i have taken to the firebag as inline console in the FF.
as i use the DeveloperCompendion i cant realy control array´s with little more
entries.

yes, you are right, i have not enough space there, und youre idea to bring a
button is good.

i hape i can help you what i mean.

Kay
