[WISH-LIST] - Integrate Firetay With Message Indicator Plasmoid (KDE) #186

I use kubuntu 11.04.

Today I need to set 2 applets in tray: 1 for kopete and 1 for thunderbird
(firetray).

Would be possible to set firetray to integrate thunderbird with the kde
plasmoid message indicator?

thanks
rodrigo

You mean that popup from the top of the systray ? If so there is a addon I use
that does that ==>
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/blinking-alert/ it does work
for TB 5 and 6

Hi,
Thunderbird already use Kde popup notification system.

Actually I mean the icon in tray. Kde has a message indicator plasmoid (applet)
that stays in system tray and animate when receive message from kmail, kopete,
konversation and quassel.

My suggestion is to integrate firetray with this applet, so could set just one
icon in tray for messenger (kopete) and email (thunderbird) applications.

I don't know if it is feasible.
thanks
rodrigo

I had to install the package thunderbird-gnome-support to make
Thunderbird use the KDE message indicator plasmoid (on Kubuntu 12.04). Firetray
is not needed.
