Frame dropping bug has re-appeared caused by controls autohide feature (Regression) #535

A previous fix to prevent video dropping frames due to the animation engine / 
controlbar autohide has possibly been removed and appears again and causing 
video playback performance issues.

the fix is still there but its appeared again.

It's the animation engine still this time around.

a very nasty one it's something to do with the animation engine or the  hide 
event dispatch. It's now not doing it, but may appear again.
