external (hyper-) link to specific image within a gallery #257

I would like to hyperlink to a specific image in a gallery from another page or 
piece of text.

I am definitely no programmer, but something like:

<a href="http://www.MyFirstSite/Gallery.html#5"> 

(to link to the 5th picture in the image gallery) doesn't seem to work 
unfortunately. Tried many other things but can't seem to resolve the issue, nor 
could I find a similar awnser. Please help!

I need to do the same and whilst it appears to work on the demo, it doesn't 
once embedded in a page in my website.
