GF2.0 - Multiple profile management

It would be great to be able to manage multiple profiles in a certain logbook.  
This should help manage PZI.  Certain questions are yet unanswered however:

1) Does a given profile have it's own workouts or are they shared?
2) If they are not shared, how does one transfer them between profiles to 
handle PZI (Pace zone index)?
3) Can a profile have many different speed/hr/power zones setup to handle PZI?  
This is another solution to the above questions.
4) Is a profile linked with a single device, many or none?  This needs to be 
determined as it will determine if we export the profile along with the 
workouts to make sure they are always in sync or if we keep the current 
approach.

This point is still unclear and will have impacts on other features for 2.0 so 
it needs to be clarified early.
