Imperial distance terms incorrect #117

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set distance to imperial
2. navigate to a cache
3. Once it reads less than .10 mile, the radar reads yards, but my
experience tells me that you actaully mean feet.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I think that the distnace should read in 10ths of a mile until you are
within the last 527 feet. Then it should read in feet.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 118
Motorola Droid

Please provide any additional information below.

These might be the popular options
- km, meters
- miles, feet
- miles, meters

OK, read a post by Pat Norton. US uses feet/miles and it seems the UK uses
yards/miles, and goes on to say some UK users may prefer miles/meters. So it
seems

kilometers/meters (Forward thinking people)
miles/meters (UK)
miles/yards (UK)
miles/feet (US)

Now the question becomes switchover points. US uses 1/10 a mile (526 feet,
about 160
meters) anybody know what other countries prefer?

Latest version reports distance in feet, not yards.
