And edit to a typo (boy I've really got it today) - Outlook 2003, not 2007.

I'm having the same problem. Installed it today (9/18). Running XP SP2 with
Outlook
2007. If I click Retry, it asks for a the JIT debugger. If I hit Cancel, it
rethrows
the exception.

Any workarounds would be great -- we just switched to Google Apps Premier
Edition,
and we really need to import the Outlook mail..

I'm having the same issue on Windows XP SP3 clean install running Outlook 2003
connected to an Exchange 2003 Server. I had the problem before the clean
install and
thought that reformatting would fix the problem but it didn't. I didn't have
any
issue on the other 12 machines that are here. This is the only machine.
Please help
us out Google.

I found the problem. If you have multiple Outlook profiles, set one as the
default.
On Windows 7, control panel, mail.. profiles. I had 2 profiles and got this
error.
Once I set a profile as default (the one I wanted to upload emails from), it
worked and
I didn't get the error.

Same problem on Win7x64 with Outlook 2007. Made sure my profile was set to
default
and even tried creating a new profile and making that default, but still get
assertion error.

Workaround Solution:
See the previous comment about clicking 'Ignore' if you keep on hitting ignore
about 20 times or so the program will start and will work as expected. I'm
running 64 bit Windows 7.

Same here, jokkarlsson's solution does work, just keep clicking ignore!
32 bit 7 with Outlook 2010.
