no socks/proxy support #129

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. my machine is behind a corporate firewall that requires the use of
an http proxy or a socks server to access websites outside the corporate
network.
2. A common way to support http proxy is to honor the http_proxy shell
environment variable.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
ggl-qt and ggl-gtk should support http_proxy shell env. var and/or socks
support.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.9.2 Ubuntu 8.04

You need set both http_proxy and https_proxy. If it doesn't work, please report 
again.
