google groups rss doesn't work with google reader. #192

Quick rules
1. goto http://groups.google.com/group/ANYGROUP/feeds
2) Take one of these links and "Add a Subscription" in google.com/reader.

Results:
"The feed being requested cannot be found."

I'm having the same problem and it appears to be related to authentication.  
What I
don't understand is I use the same authentication to get into google reader 
that I do
to get into google groups, so why doesn't being in google reader allow my
authentication to work on the google groups?

looks like my reader is not even trying to authenticate coz it gets a 403 
instead of a 401?

I have the same exact problem here too.. no matter how a formulate the google 
groups 
URL for some reason the reader pukes and will not subscribe.. 

Kinda lame when google's reader can't even subscribe to google's own Group 
system.

Google Reader is discontinued Google product. See 
https://www.google.com/reader/about/
Thus bug is not actual any more. Let's close a bug.
