This is due to the Facebook app being incompatible at the moment. Not sure if
it has to be Facebook that fixes it.

With the latest build and latest facebook app it still does nothing when trying
to add a facebook account to sync.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus, same issue. Bought phone today, upgraded software, newest
Facebook, same issue, clicking Facebook under accounts and sync, returns you to
the account listing without adding Faceboook.

If we're talking about sync'ing FB contacts in the newly named "People" app
then it's still the same on my ICS updated Xoom.
WebOs (R.I.P.) did this synergy thing so much better. Think we can borrow
their code since it's all OpenSource now?

Same issue here, Galaxy Nexus, latest OS and facebook app. There is a
workaround app called HaxSync so this can be done, but we shouldn't have to pay
a dollar to fix a feature that shouldn't be broken.
