Most captcha's only show "joomlcaptcha" #46

What page URL will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Should see random numbers and letters.  I only see "joomlacaptcha".

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Using on joomla 1.5.12

Please provide any additional information below.

Works on admin login...  Patch problem?

problem with sessions. is cashe disabled?

I've tried it with cache enabled and disabled... no difference...  Cleared 
browser
cache as well.

Installed plugin w/plugin installer.  Applied JC45 patch to Joomla.

I have the same problem, did you solve it?
A few months ago, I was having problems with the space of my server and i had 
the
same problem...but now I have a lot of space. May it be a permission prblem?

Don't think so - everything is owned by apache user and group...  But in case 
I'm
assuming something, specifically which files and which permissions?  I have 
plenty of
disk space, and the captcha works fine for the admin interface, just fails for 
the
site...

I've got the same problem with 1.5.7 on Apache. However, while on one site I 
get 2
Captcha input boxes (even though these is only code for one) and I only see
"joomlacaptcha", on another Apache server running 1.5.7 it is working 
perfectly. I
just have no idea what could be doing this, when both version are the same and 
both
are running on Apache.
