Would it be possible to integrate more communication with the customers so that 
they receive emails which explain them about the order proces?

E.g. that the invoice is emailed after the order, that you can change the 
delivery status and notify the customer, etc.

good idea. if you make a list of the notifications you'd like added, I'll add 
them.
