Replicate Tomboy's interface #77

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

From my use experience, the way I use Labyrinth -as well as the purposes-
resembles the way I use Tomboy. Nevertheless, Tomboy's interface always
made much more sense to me. Having an applet instead of a main window would
be handier for Labyrinth, since you can only choose and create maps from it.

I'm attaching a mockup of how it would look.

Also, since both projects are so closely related to me, It would just make
sense to
me to be able to access both notes and mindmaps from a single applet. I guess
there
is no chance to merge both projects, but I took the liberty to make a mockup of
how a
Tomboy / Labyrinth merge would look.

Any thought on redesigning the main window as an applet? I really don't like
having
it around the desktop, and closing it closes all maps.

this issue is linked to #112, as the current code would make it very hard to
implement this without changes or duplication

I agree. If Labyrinth became something like Tomboy note taker, it would be a
lot more
handy to use!
