Google Access Control: can't be changed #17

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I gave access to latex-lab first time to access my Docs account
2. i revoked this access because i couldn't see my documents files on Latex-lab
3. i tried to gave latex-lab access again to my Docs account but there is
no way to do it, now.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
So, due to this access control issue, when i try to check my documents
files, now i get the following:

An error occurred while performing the following command:
List documents.
Submit to the issue tracker
Error details: OK

I didn't receive this error the first time i tried latex-lab.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Vista, Firefox 3.6.3

Please provide any additional information below.
The first time i open the latex-lab, everything was working. So, to test it
more deeply i uploaded many latex files on my Docs account. As soon as i
finished uploading, I've tried to add these files to the project resources.
This time i couldn't see any files, even the old files, i tried refresh,
but nothing. So, i thought i should revoke access to Docs and restart from
the beginning, unfortunately, this time, i received the access control
problem following by this error.

PS. I've unchecked the option to convert files to Google docs files all for
all "new" uploaded files.

Now, i can Grant Latex-Lab again but still can't see my Goolge Docs files, old
and
new ones. Only the one included with latex-lab is shown.

Revoking access from the Google Access Control page invalidates the
Authentication
token. LaTeX Lab is not properly dealing with invalidated tokens - it should
renew
the token, but is currently displaying the error you reported. I deleted your
user
token from LaTeX Lab to eliminate the error - for now, use Log Out instead of
"Revoke
Access" to remove access.

Google Docs attempts to convert files to documents. Any files it fails to
convert are
not editable both from the Google Docs editor (AFAIK) and LaTeX Lab. Use the
upload
feature only for resources that you're not planning to edit (such as images).

Also, are you sure you are looking at "All Documents" and not "Starred
Documents"
when you attempt to open a file?

Yes, i clicked on All documents and nothing. However, it thins because i didn't
convert my uploaded files to Google Docs format, Latex-lab couldn't see the new
ones
and even the old ones. I deleted all new uploaded files and i'll see if this
solve my
problem.
Thanks for your great support.

Ok. Solved. This is the problem. If i uploaded only one file which wasn't
converted
to Google Docs format, Latex-lab can't see the new file and even the old ones.
As
soon as i delete all my new uploaded files, i can now see my old, Google docs
format
files.

I am also experiencing this problem. I have a number of non-google docs format
files uploaded to my account (eg pdf, eps, pptx that don't convert correctly),
consistent with ghassane's observation. Specifically, the following features
are broken:

- OPEN. No documents are displayed in either starred or all documents.
Refreshing doesn't help.
- Project Resource. Same thing. Primary Resource is blank, even after
sucessfully saving my LaTex document.

I can create new documents just fine, and can save changes to existing
documents. I can open existing documents in latexlab by changing the URL
around, so clearly latexlab has permission to access my documents.
