VIM shortcuts and vim-latex support #38

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Describe the requested feature:

I use vim to write my latex source code, with vim-latex, it is so fast to write
an
article with shortcuts and auto-complete instead of clicking buttons. I know
for a
lot of people, this would be a study curve, but I believe there are someones
out
there really want this feature.

Anyway, it is a very nice and promising project and thanks for the hard
working.

Also, i think vim is very good tool for text editor. If possible, working
efficiency
will be improved.

Is anyone aware of a similar javascript emulating emacs?

I use emacs to edit my latex documents. If vim capabilities are considered, it
would
be a good idea to add emacs to the list too.

Please allow me to answer my own question. There is a decent emacs-like editor.
See

Very interesting, i like the idea of a web based VI or emacs editor that can
read and
write to Google Docs. There is for example a web based Command Line site for
Google
services (http://goosh.org/). I think these apps should start coming together,
though
it would be outside the scope of the LaTeX Lab project.

If someone is interested in taking a look at plugging a web based VI or emacs
editor
onto LaTeX Lab i can help with some guidance.
