Show movie time on box display? #53

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Starting the movie, on the box display only the filename of the current movie
is shown
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

When I use enigma2-plugin-mediaplayer2ab_0.35_all.ipk ( on all the images I've
tried - OpenVIX, BH, VTi ) on the display of the box I can see remaining time
of the movie and not the filename of the movie. This is something that i like
and use a lot. I always know what movie I'm watching, but in other versios I
must press the OK button from time to time to see where the movie is timewise
... The downside of this version is that I can't use the "audio" button and the
embedded subtitles.
Could You add an option to the new versions of mediaplayer2 to change what will
be on the box display?
I would greatly apreciate that.
Thanks for Your great work! I enjoy it daily!

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
VU+ UNO with OpenVIX Apollo build 30

Please provide any additional information below.

Thanks for suggestion

Title of currently playing entry on LCD display is necessary when you're
listening music - you know what you're playing and you can also navigate in
playlist while TV is off.

Are you sure that enigma2-plugin-mediaplayer2ab_0.35_all.ipk shows remaining
time on LCD while movie is played?
I was looking into sources of both players:
enigma2-plugin-mediaplayer2ab_0.35_all.ipk and
enigma2-plugin-mediaplayer2_0.35_all.ipk but only non-'ab' version uses
different info in LCD screen than latest versions.

I can add option to show info on LCD screen as in 0.35 version while video
playback is on.

Yes, I've tried all the available versions, but only the
"enigma2-plugin-mediaplayer2ab_0.35_all.ipk" version does that. It can show
remaining or actual time, depending on the enigma2 settings ...
Thank You for devoting time to this request.

Hi there!
Any chances for implementing some feature like this?
I know it's not a priority, just asking since I'm a great fan of this project,
cheking here daily :)
