Missing SSL Support for StatusNet/Laconica #171

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create and Connect to account on a StatusNet server that requires HTTPS

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I get an "Authentication error"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
pidgin                                2.6.4-1
pidgin-microblog                      0.2.4-1
Debian unstable

HTTPS support is disabled by default. This "non feature" is (paradoxically) 
explicitly disabled (see code). I have added a patch wich supports now HTTPS 
connection by GUI configuration.
