Right now it is not possible. The plug-in works like a replacement for
twitter.com IM
support.
Change to enhancement. This idea is interesting.

I'd vote for renaming this issue to "Change Twitter according to Pidgin status
message or the way around".
The idea would be allowing the twitter status to be placed in Pidgin's (global)
status message and/or Pidgin's (global) status to be used as tweet, when
changed. This would be configurable, and I'd suggest settings to be "Change
Pidgin status message according to Twitter" and "Change Twitter status message
according to Pidgin", with a radio selector as these would be mutually
exclusive (else an endless loop would be initiated).
These are more or less covered by the pidgin-twitterstatus [1] plug-in (the way
around not yet implemented [2]), although that plug-in has a Perl dependency,
which on Windows is usually unexpected [3].

A choice to _not_ have this connection would be nice ;-)
So we'd need a twitter-pidgin-status-update option with values: Off, update
pidgin from twitter, update twitter from pidgin
Also: pidgin-twitterstatus seems to be non-working and unmaintained [1]
@neaveru: you're working on this?
