High CPU utilization the Crash on OS X/Adium #87

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I'm using 0.2.1 and occasionally (a couple times during the workday) it
seems that Adium begins consuming a lot of CPU and then freezes and then
crashes. I never had this problem before installing TwitterIM.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch Adium
2. Wait
3. CPU usage will skyrocket causing fans to come on
4. Adium will freeze then crash

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect Adium not to crash, instead it does crash.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.2.1 AdiumXtra with Adium 1.3.3 on OS X 10.5.6

Please provide any additional information below.

I am having he exact same problem.
I'm on OSX 10.5.6 (pro, intel 2.93gih, 4gig ram), Adium 1.1.3

The only other plugin I have is the filetransferdirectories plugin.

Unfortunately it was causing my so much trouble that I have removed TwitterIM
for the moment.

Can anyone indicate if this is still an issue using the 0.2.2 plugin version? I
think I might have fixed it, but can't be sure since I don't have a test
harness to
reproduce the problem.

@jsippel Sorry, I can't confirm if this is still a problem. I've switched to the
Adium 1.4 nightlies and thus no longer have a need for this plugin.

Since there is no confirmation that the issue persists I am closing this Issue.
Feel free to open a new one if the problem in fact persists.
