Labels take time to load from drop down menu #277

Which Minimalist for Gmail option is causing the problem?
Not sure

What is the problem? Describe completely:
When I click the drop down menu for labels, it takes extra time for the labels 
to appear versus the time it takes when minimalist is toggled off. I manually 
label many emails and have had to keep minimalist gmail toggled off for this 
reason. I may just disable it but I really like it otherwise!

Does the problem persist when loading Gmail with this link:
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?labs=0 if not, list your enabled labs
experiments:

MinGmail version       - most current
Chrome version         - most current
Chrome update channel  - ?
Operating System       - OS 10.6.7
Language               - English
Google apps user?      - not really
Other Gmail extensions - chrome toolbox, screen capture

Please provide any additional information below and attach screenshots if
possible.

How much extra time. It doesn't make a difference for me... Do you have hide 
offline/idle enabled? this is one of the only features that could affect 
performance.

Hi do have hide offline enabled... Which is one of my favorite features.

Sometimes it can take as long as 10 seconds, maybe more. Enough time passes 
that I try to click again because nothing has happened.

10 seconds!? That's crazy. Something is majorly messed up, export your 
settings. Uninstall/reinstall the extension, and import your settings again.

i am having the same issues, loading labels take more than 15 seconds... and 
finding thru my label list is also super slow compared to minimalist being 
off...

i only use the following options:

Better attachment icons [New Google Style] *
People Widget  Hide People Widget
Hide sidebar ads (i do no use Rapportive)
Hide bottom ads

I have removed every other extension in Google Chrome 16.0.912.21 and its still 
the same.

Please help. I liked ur extension very much but this is spoiling it.

Yes. This is a major issue that is close to causing me to stop using the 
extension. I posted a newer version of this bug here:

THIS EXTENSION IS DEPRECATED!

Active development continues at Minimalist for Everything:

The Gmail module for Minimalist for Everything has all the same features of
Minimalist for Gmail and more!

Please disable Minimalist for Gmail if you have it installed and install
Minimalist for Everything instead.
