This is a preview theme specific function and since I have to prioritize the
current-gen themes over the preview themes until the full rollout, there's no
way to fix it in the extension. However putting this is Custom CSS will solve
it (it's what I'm using):
.cP > div:nth-child(2) > div:nth-child(2)> div > div:nth-child(2) >
div:first-child > div:nth-child(2)[min ~= 'fix']:not([min ~= 'hideN']) {
margin-left: 200px; }

Aw darn, after your floating navigation update in 1.7.42, the overlap comes
back even though I tried deleting the Custom CSS and adding it again.

Today's update fixed floating navigation which was broken because of a change
in Gmail. Use this updated one:
.cP > div:nth-child(3) > div:nth-child(2)> div > div:nth-child(2) > div:first-child > div:nth-child(2)[min ~= 'fix']:not([min ~= 'hideN']) { margin-left: 200px; }

THIS EXTENSION IS DEPRECATED!
Active development continues at Minimalist for Everything:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bmihblnpomgpjkfddepdpdafhhepdbek
The Gmail module for Minimalist for Everything has all the same features of
Minimalist for Gmail and more!
Please disable Minimalist for Gmail if you have it installed and install
Minimalist for Everything instead.
