Navigation stops floating when hovering over contacts in chat

Which Minimalist for Gmail option is causing the problem?

What is the problem? Describe completely:
If I'm scrolled down aways and I hover over one of my chat contact's statuses, 
nav goes back to the top (essentially disappearing if I'm scrolled down to 
far), and a page refresh is required to get it working again.

Does the problem persist when loading Gmail with this link:
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?labs=0 if not, list your enabled labs
experiments:
Yes.

MinGmail version       - 1.7.42
Chrome version         - 14.0.835.15
Chrome update channel  - dev
Operating System       - Mac OS X 10.6.8
Language               - English
Google apps user?      - No
Other Gmail extensions - None

Caused by a class reset in the navigation container when contacts are hovered. 
I'll look into it for MinEverything
