With preview pane activated, message list hides most column info

Which Minimalist for Gmail option is causing the problem?
Not sure

What is the problem? Describe completely:
When I activated the preview pane in Labs, the email list stopped showing me 
most of the column info --  including the subject -- and also greyed out the 
sender.  All of the info becomes fully visible when the message is moused over. 

Does the problem persist when loading Gmail with this link:
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?labs=0 if not, list your enabled labs
experiments:  Preview pane

MinGmail version       -  current version (downloaded 8/26/11)
Chrome version         -  13.0.782.215 m
Chrome update channel  -
Operating System       -  Win 7 64-bit
Language               -  English
Google apps user?      -  Yes (although this was for my personal gmail account)
Other Gmail extensions -  Preview pane and move icon column (others disabled)

Please provide any additional information below and attach screenshots if
possible.  Screenshot attached.  This is a great extension, except that I 
really need to have both the info in the preview pane and the basic info in the 
message list; one without the other is not very useful to me.

Disable Main > Simplify Rows. Preview Pane and Move Icon column conflict and 
move icon column is required for Simplify rows.

This is the reason, I don't officially support labs...
