Message blank in split view with Preview Pane enabled

Which Minimalist for Gmail option is causing the problem?

What is the problem? Describe completely:

Since 10/23/11, the message pane and preview panes go blank when I try to 
execute most operations in gmail.  This persists after reboot.  I have to 
reload the page to see my messages again.  I'm not able to disable labs or 
change settings (like eliminating the preview pane) without the panes going 
blank.

Does the problem persist when loading Gmail with this link:

Please provide any additional information below and attach screenshots if
possible.

I also loaded gmail in an incognito window (in which minimalist-gmail was not 
enabled) and then disabled the Preview Pane lab.  After doing this, gmail works 
correctly again in my main browser window -- albeit, without the super-helpful 
preview pane.

I would have attached a screenshot of the blank panes but I can't get the 
Screen Capture extension for Chrome to work on my Chromebook.

I'm seeing the same behavior (also since 10/23) on two separate Windows PCs.  I 
also use the split layout feature though even with no split enabled the problem 
occurs, though it occurs after I view a message and then return to the inbox 
versus just trying to view a message with the split layout feature enabled.

I don't officially support labs because it's impossible to keep up with every 
possible combination of Gmail. However i do plan to support Preview Pane when 
MinGmail is merged with MinEverything.

OK, thank you.  That's totally understandable given all the possible 
permutations created when considering all the GMail Labs features.  Hopefully 
Google will make the Preview Pane a full-fledged feature at some point since 
it's so useful.

Minimalist for Gmail and more!

Please disable Minimalist for Gmail if you have it installed and install
Minimalist for Everything instead.
