Hover highlight does not work with "Preview Pane" lab

Which Minimalist for Gmail option is causing the problem?
-Show hover/select row highlights

What is the problem? Describe completely:
-With "Show hover/select row highlights" selected, and using the "Preview Pane" 
in Google Labs the highlighting highlights three separate lines. The same goes 
for the star highlighting.

Does the problem persist when loading Gmail with this link:
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?labs=0 if not, list your enabled labs
experiments: Preview Pane, Unread message icon

MinGmail version       - latest
Chrome version         - 15.0.874.106
Chrome update channel  -
Operating System       - Mac OS X 10.7.2
Language               - English
Google apps user?      - Yes
Other Gmail extensions - None

possible.
