Hide navigation toggling doesn't work #73

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Which Minimalist for Google Calendar option is causing the problem?
Hide navigation
[`]tilde key or click blank stripe to toggle

What is the problem? Describe completely:
When this option is selected, the navigation bar will reappear with the tilde
key, but not if I click on it. If I also select Expand nav on mouseover, that
works.

MinGcal version - 0.7.3
Chrome version - 13.0.782.112
Chrome update channel - Stable channel for Windows, I think
Operating System - XP
Language - English
Google apps user? - no
Other GCal extensions - none

Please provide any additional information below and attach screenshots if
possible.

Works for me. On a Mac, same MinGcal and Chrome versions. Are you clicking on
the correct blank stripe (the one on the far left of the screen)?

Yes, I'm pretty sure. It was working until a few days ago, and then it stopped,
so I know I was clicking the right spot. Also, it still works on mouseover, and
that's the same blank stripe. It's weird that you're not having any problems. I
wonder it it's different just because you have a Mac?

I have an XP machine that I just installed it on, and it also works. Do you
have any other Chrome extensions installed? Does the blank stripe change
shades when you hover over it? Do you have any other Minimalist options
checked? I tested it with _just_ the "Hide Navigation" checkbox checked, and I
haven't seen the same issue you are seeing.

I don't see this either - its working for me to toggle navigation with tilde,
both via keyboard shortcut and clicking.

The blank strip does change shades when I hover over it. The other Minimalist
options I have checked are:
Theme: Highlights: Change today color; Dim weekends
Header: Hide All: Hide header
Navigation: Custom width (120 pixels); Hide "Add a friend's calendar"

I just tried it with all of them turned off. It works with none of them on. I
tried turning them on one by one to localize the problem. It seems to be caused
by Hide header, which I also just realized isn't working. Maybe that's the real
problem. Should I submit a new issue?

In case you still need them, the Chrome extensions I have installed:
Better Toodledo Slim
Boomerang for Gmail
Brain Waves
Clip to Evernote
Minimalist for Gmail
Minimalist for Google Calendar
Minimalist for Google Reader
Send from Gmail (by Google)
Session Buddy

I don't think I installed any of them right before it started happening, but
I'm not sure because I don't know exactly when it started.

Hi Tess,

I was able to see your problem now. The "hide header" has already been
reported as issue #72. I tried fixing that issue, and it also seemed to
resolve your issue. I sent my suggested changes to Ansel (the project owner).

Hey all, sorry about my lack of responsiveness on this issue. Just got back
from vacation. The fix is live in 0.7.4, please update and confirm:

[wrench] > Tools > Extensions > Developer mode > Update extensions now
