I'd like to see a function to make past days less prominent.  The simplest form 
would probably be to be able to apply a gray or other muted color highlight to 
past days - something similar to the "highlight today color" option except for 
past days.

The checker plus extension is supposed to do something similar (but does too 
much other stuff) and hasn't worked well for me.
