Radio player stops streaming after a while #661

I have Nokia E72, and I haven't been able to use radio streaming over packet
data whatsoever...

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Simple... Just start streaming radio over HSDPA/3G/EDGE network. Music starts
playing, buffer goes ahead, but suddenly stops. When song catches up to the
buffer, music stops. Pressing next goes to the nest songs but same thing
happens. This usually occurs before half of the track is played. Doesn't matter
if i use 128 kbps or 64 since it loads faster than the music, but just stops at
some point, and doesn't resume.

If applicable, does the problem occur over both wifi and packet data, or
just one?

For me it occurs only using packet data. On WiFi everything's OK.

Update: Ok, now it simply doesn't start streaming at all! It crashes instead
with KERN-EXEC 3 error. This is on EDGE :(

I've just made a few tests with different connections (Edge, UMTS, HSDPA).
Radio playback won't start (crashes) on Edge unless I disable artwork
downloading?! On UMTS and HSDPA it starts, but in any case I get the same
problem described above; after a while buffer simply stops loading, and when
the song catches up - the end.

While it might be my network operator problem, (unstable signal?) the official
Last.fm application for iPhone works just fine on the same network even on EDGE.

Dev team - I will be more than happy to test any patches/new versions of
Mobbler on my E72 if you need feedback :) I would really love to get this
working. It would make me... less wanting to switch to Android :-/

Hi igrnja,
I had the same problem. I have a E73. Make sure that the app is installed on
your phone and not on you SD Card. If you uninstall the app, take out the SD
card before reinstalling. I had to uninstall the app and reinstall it. It looks
like it is running a little smoother.
Hope that helps.

I just switched from an G1 to the Nokia. If you use your phone allot, you will
not be happy with the Androids. There battery life is where bad. That was the
reason I switched.

Same problem but also over wifi.
Sometimes stops when the buffering is just finished others when is about to
finish.
