I started using last.fm streaming radio continuously, and then mobbler when I'm
out of home. While driving or walking it is normal to switch often between >3G
(even with poor signal) and GPRS/EDGE and this forces me to manually switch to
64kbps stream, but when I'm near a wifi hotspot I could use the 128kbps one
without any problem.
I think it would be nice to have a third setting within the bitrate
preferences, that allows to automatically select the bitrate by detecting the
connection type and then using the 64 stream for mobile connection or 128 for
wifi hotspots.
