Mobbler Beta API requires subscription in free countries

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'm located in Germany. Radio listening should be free. Instead Mobbler 
activates a free 30 song trial and after this subscription seems to be 
necessary. Last.fm Support says it's because of the new API.

If applicable, does the problem occur over both wifi and packet data, or
just one?
Both, I think, not easy to test. Maybe when my trial really is over.

But why is the last.fm API subscribers only now?

Last.fm have to pay to play the music, so it's their decision.

They said they get enough advertising for Germany, the UK and US, but only for 
the official clients. Mobbler's a third party client, so you need to be a 
subscriber. Still, we're lucky -- not all third party clients are allowed to 
stream at all.
