Show a message about playing for subscribers only when Mobbler is launched the first time #714

With the introduction of Mobbler in the Ovi Store a lot of new users are
dealing with the subscriber-only radio "problem".
I think that you could show a message on the first startup of Mobbler, briefly
but clearly explaining how the last.fm radio works (about subscribers and 30
tracks trial), and that it's due to last.fm, not Mobbler itself.
I know that a lot of them don't even realize the difference between a service
and a software using it, and some users still will be complaining about this,
even after [not] reading the message, but generally users shall understand it
better.
Even a small alert in the end of the OVI store description could help, also for
a better ranking of the app.

Both good ideas.

We'll definitely need to make this clearer. The thing about putting a message
at startup, Last.fm might change the "rules" for better of worse at any time in
the future. But we can easily at least keep the Ovi Store text up-to-date
(well, after QA approval).

Thanks!

You're welcome!
About the rules changing, you could make read Mobbler the alert directly from
an external server.
Since Mobbler is a network based app, the user would not be bored to connect
once started, but if you still want to avoid a connection before the first
login, there could be a default built in "first startup" message (that the user
*has* to read and confirm), but if the current detected date on the phone is -
for example - 2 months after the release of that particular version, it will
ask for a connection to check and eventually display the updated message.
That is just my idea as a user, obviously, I'm not a programmer, maybe you'll
have a better way to implement that...

Ovi Store description updated, it'll be live after QA approve it.

We won't do the in-app alert, there could be complications about Last.fm
changing the restrictions and it could vary depending on what APIs are used in
whichever version.

Thanks though!
