Movie Cover does not display in Video OSD #219

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Play a film from either main or details window
2. Press F9/Info key for Video OSD
3. In Default skin press up arrow for expanded OSD

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No Movie cover displays (#Play.Current.Thumb)

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

This was working correctly until the last couple of builds.

Is this related to issue #208?
Or do you have the same problem in MP1.2.x?
Did you upgrade or change your Video thumbs for MyVideo (MF uses same cache
source)?

Yes MP 1.2.x is fine, issue is only in 1.3.0 - AFAIK I did not upgrade or
change thumbs for Videos, although I did scan/add files. The images all exist
in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\Videos\Title BUT still do
not display in OSD. I thought that is where are they cached? The covers also
exist in ...\thumbs\MyFilms\ThumbsCache\MyFilms_Movies (although different
naming convention.

If I play a movie from MP Videos 1.3.0 - the cover displays ONLY for movies
explicitly added to DB in using MP Videos. If I then play the same movie via
MF, the cover does NOT display, AND no longer displays when I go back and play
it from Videos.

So it seems that playing any video from MF somehow removes the thumb from
#Play.Current.Thumb - wherever that is stored ;)

Ok, will close here and handle this in issue#208.
I will commit a change for delayed setting of OSD image - that's the way most
plugins do it nowadays ...
