Window repainting not working correctly on both Linux and Windows #122

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. launch nTorrent
2. observe window paiting 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
After logging in via SSH to the machine running rtorrent-0.8.5-1 and
libtorrent-0.12.5-1 the torrents window should open. Instead the repaint
only occurs on mouse over. The torrents window is unusable.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
nTorrent 0.5, Windows XP 32-bit, Ubuntu Linux 32-bit, JRE 1.6.0_15.

Please provide any additional information below and if necessary, attach
the nTorrent log file found under $HOME/.ntorrent/.
