o3d plugin broke chrome installation? #201

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install o3d plugin
2. Start Google Chrome

What is the expected output? 
start the browser normally, and go have fun with O3D demos and samples;

What do you see instead?
an error alert(see attached), then the page is forever loading and nothing
happens;

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
lastest version of o3d plugin for windows in Google Chrome 4.0.266.0;
Windows 7 RC Build 7100;

What hardware are you using:  graphics card type?  motherboard type?
GeForce 8500 GT; PCCHIPS P17G;

Please provide any additional information below.
I uninstalled the plugin and
reinstalled the browser several times, and the error persists;
the same goes for any new tab in any url;

I'd be surprised if O3D is really causing this failure. Does O3D work in 
Firefox for 
you?
