phone: call and sms not working in china #43

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open the O2
2. Enter android
3.

What is the expected output?
The phone should find the network signal soon and let us to use the phone.

What do you see instead?
It keeps show the message "Sorry!The process com.android.phone has stopped 
unexpectedly.Please try again" and the only thing could do is press the "force 
close". always.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest beta 1024ROM+3D driver +zimage patch

Please provide any additional information below.

only way to reproduce error is to step into plane to china?

is this about gt-i8000 samsung phone (generic gsm) or a variant like sch-i920 
(verizon cdma) or other variant? 

What phone network has china?

Yes.GI-i8000.
I've never heared anyone in China not have this problem.
It keeps showing "Sorry!The process com.android.phone has stopped 
unexpectedly.Please try again" and then the only thing you could do is to press 
the "force close".
In China, the main phone network is ChinaMobile and ChinaUnicom.
Don't know why this happens to our i8000 as other Android phone like HTC Hero 
work all fine.

I met the same issue today. Android works just fine on my i8000 for the last 
two days, but it crashes as everyone told here today. I didn't do anything 
before it crashes. The SMS and phone function works normally previously. p.s. 
My carrier is ChinaMobile, EDGE network.
